Regular Season Round 21: Split - Zadar 82-62

Top ranked Zadar (17-3) recorded its third loss on the court of fourth ranked Split on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by Split 82-62. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Zadar. Split looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. The best player for the winners was Ivan Perasovic (201-2) who scored 19 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). The former international center Antonio Vrankovic (213-96, college: Duke) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman Justin Carter (193-87, college: Creighton, agency: Alti Sport) who recorded 11 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import guard Kodi Justice (199-95, college: ASU) added 8 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Split maintains fourth place with 14-5 record. Defending champion Zadar still keeps top position with three games lost. Split are looking forward to face higher ranked Cibona (#3) in Zagreb in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Zadar will play at home against KK Zabok and is hoping to win this game.
