There was an upset when 4th placed Casale (8-6) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Milano (7-7) 81-77 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Stefano Bossi (190-94, agency: Players Group) who scored 17 points and 5 assists. American forward Wayne Langston (201-93, college: Murray St., agency: Alti Sport) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Four Milano players scored in double figures. American forward Sam Thompson (200-92, college: Ohio St., agency: Pensack Sports) produced 17 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Fabio Valentini (185-99) added 16 points and 7 assists respectively for the guests. Milano moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Pistoia and Cd'Orlando. Loser Casale dropped to the third position with six games lost. Milano will face Bergamo (#14) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Casale will play against Mantova (#10) and hope to win that game.
