Regular Season Round 15: Almeria - CAM E.Soler 2 70-65

There was an upset when 3rd placed CAM E.Soler 2 (5-5) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked Almeria (5-3) 70-65 on Sunday. It was a great evening for guard Luis Rueda (186-96) who led his team to a victory scoring 9 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Argentinian-Italian Guillermo Casini (191-82) helped adding 14 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was center Javier Gonzalez (207-92) with 23 points and 7 rebounds and Serbian forward Marko Orlic (203-95, college: Keiser) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. The victory was the third consecutive win for Almeria. They moved-up to fifth place in Group D-A. Newly promoted CAM E.Soler 2 dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. Almeria will face Unicaja-Andalucia (#6) in Malaga in the next round.
