Regular Season Round 10: Piombino - Livorno Libertas 75-95

Very expected game when 15th ranked Piombino (1-9) was crushed at home by seventh ranked Livorno Libertas (6-4) 95-75 on Sunday. Livorno Libertas forced 20 Piombino turnovers. Piombino was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international swingman Andrea Casella (197-90) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Antonello Ricci (190-92) chipped in 13 points during the contest. Four Livorno Libertas players scored in double figures. At the losing side Mirco Turel (195-94) responded with 23 points and Camillo Bianchi (195-94) scored 18 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Livorno Libertas moved-up to fifth place in B, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Piombino keeps the fifteenth position with nine games lost. Livorno Libertas will face Firenze (#14) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
