No shocking result in a game in Aanekoski where sixth ranked Kipina (10-7) defeated 8th ranked Ura Basket II (7-10) 89-83 on Sunday. Ura Basket II was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Kipina made 22-of-24 free shots (91.7 percent) during the game. Strangely Ura Basket II outrebounded Kipina 44-32 including 32 on the defensive glass. French Steve Robinson fired 42 points (!!!), 9 assists and 4 steals (made all of his seventeen free throws !!!) for the winners. Forward Sami Mantymaa (193-88) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds. American power forward Brian Moultrie (198-87, college: Armstrong St.) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds and guard Lauri Hanninen (189-2) added 23 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Kipina moved-up to fourth place in 1st Division. Loser Ura Basket II dropped to the tenth position with ten games lost. Kipina will face JyWe (#8) in Jyvaskyla in the next round. Ura Basket II will play at home against the league's leader FoKoPo and hope to win that game.
