Regular Season Round 25: KTP Basket - Seagulls 78-96

Korisliiga top team - Seagulls (17-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat ninth ranked KTP Basket (8-10) in Kotka 96-78. The game was mostly controlled by Seagulls. KTP Basket was better in second period 26-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American guard Kendale McCullum (194-96, college: Lewis, agency: Octagon Europe) fired 23 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals for the winners. International Shawn Huff (198-84, college: Valpo) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. Five Seagulls players scored in double figures. American guard Braxton Huggins (196-96, college: Fresno St., agency: One Motive Sports) produced 21 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import Greg Mangano (208-89, college: Yale) added 17 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. KTP Basket's coach Tomi Kaminen rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the third consecutive win for Seagulls. They maintain first place with 17-1 record. KTP Basket lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the seventh position with ten games lost. Seagulls will have a break next round. KTP Basket will play at home against the league's second-placed Kauhajoki (#2) and hope to win that game.
