Regular Season Round 19: GTK Gdynia - Gorzow Wlkp. 63-75

Bottom-ranked GTK Gdynia (0-17) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 17th consecutive match to fourth ranked Gorzow Wlkp. (11-4) 75-63. It was an exceptional evening for British forward Cheridene Green (190-95, college: Tennessee) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Megan Gustafson (190-96, college: Iowa) accounted for 17 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. Four Gorzow Wlkp. players scored in double figures. Power forward Marta Marcinkowska (181-98) came up with 19 points and 7 rebounds and international point guard Julia Niemojewska (170-98) added 4 points, 9 assists and 5 steals respectively for GTK Gdynia in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Gorzow Wlkp. have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Bydgoszcz. Newly promoted GTK Gdynia still closes the standings. Gorzow Wlkp. will play against Poznan (#6) at home in the next round. GTK Gdynia will play against Lublin (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
