Round in EBA means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Porrino where host PBB (4-3) beat league's leader Gijon Basket (7-1) 88-71 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Gijon Basket. It was a key game for the second position in the league. PBB made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Gijon Basket helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Victor Alonso (196-94) fired 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Andres Cardito (176-93) chipped in 15 points and 4 assists. PBB's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Fernando Fernandez (201-89, college: HLGU, agency: Dynamics Global Management) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Sergio Arias (168-0) added 8 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side.
