There was a small surprise when sixteenth ranked Piadena (3-8) beat at home 14th ranked Fiorenzuola (3-8) 85-68 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was point guard Federico De Bettin (180-94) who scored 16 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Center Riccardo Malagoli (212-88, agency: SLN) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. Four Piadena players scored in double figures. Piadena's coach Antonio Tritto used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Milo Galli (195-95) produced 11 points and 8 rebounds and guard Andrea Maggiotto (190-88, agency: SLN) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Piadena moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated Fiorenzuola. Piadena will face league's leader Piacenza at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
