Regular Season Round 17: SMS Lomianki - AZS UW 47-75

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked AZS UW (8-9) outleveled on the road 8th ranked SMS Lomianki (4-13) 75-47 on Saturday. AZS UW forced 29 SMS Lomianki turnovers. Forward Weronika Preihs (175-99) stepped up and scored 30 points, 7 assists and 6 steals for the winners and forward Aleksandra Kaja (176-87) chipped in 11 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Wiktoria Stasiak (177-5) responded with 8 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Julia Myszkowska (171-2) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for AZS UW. They maintain sixth place with 8-9 record, which they share with Widzew and MPKK Sokolow. Loser SMS Lomianki keeps the eighth position with 13 games lost. AZS UW's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Warszawa Polonia W-wa.
