Regular Season Round 16: UAF Lucentum - Gandia 76-94

There was a surprise result in Alicante where seventh ranked Gandia (6-6) beat higher ranked UAF Lucentum (8-4) 94-76 on Sunday. Gandia dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to UAF Lucentum's 34. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Center Alejandro Vera (202-97) fired 23 points and 6 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. Guard Alejandro Requena (189-1) chipped in 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Gandia players scored in double figures. Forward Guillem Arcos (194-0) produced 30 points and 4 assists and Norberto Albaladejo (-0) added 20 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Gandia moved-up to sixth place. Newly promoted UAF Lucentum dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
