There was a small surprise when tenth ranked Valle de Egues (3-2) edged on the road 8th ranked Baskonia B (3-6) 77-75 on Sunday. Baskonia B was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Power forward Javier Lacunza (203-94, college: FAU) fired 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Alex Calvo (180-91) chipped in 16 points and 5 steals. French Sidy Cissoko (195) produced 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Slovenian forward Sergej Macura (197-4) added 13 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Valle de Egues moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Igualada and Salou. Loser Baskonia B dropped to the seventh position with six games lost. Valle de Egues will face league's leader Mondragon at home in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Baskonia B will play against Solares (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
