Very expected game when 14th ranked Vigarano (1-16) lost to fifth ranked Sesto SG (13-6) in Sesto San Giovanni 64-82. It was a great evening for American power forward Bashaara Graves (188-94, college: Tennessee) who led her team to a victory scoring 23 points and 7 rebounds. Slovakian forward Sabina Oroszova (190-93, college: EIU, agency: Basket Promotion Agency) helped adding 12 points and 7 rebounds. Four Sesto SG players scored in double figures. Sesto SG's coach Cinzia Zanotti allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side naturalized Argentinian swingman Macarena Rosset (178-91) responded with 14 points and Ukrainian power forward Tetyana Yurkevicius (187-95) scored 7 points and 9 rebounds. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Sesto SG. They maintain fifth place with 13-6 record. Vigarano lost their seventh game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. Sesto SG will play against Costa Masnaga (#8) at home in the next round. Vigarano will play against Battipaglia (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
