Regular Season Round 25: Sodertalje - Umea 86-66

Basketligan top team - SBBK (17-5) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighth ranked Umea (5-17) in Sodertalje 86-66. The game was mostly controlled by SBBK. Umea was better in fourth quarter 19-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The former international Viktor Gaddefors (201-92) nailed 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and forward Samuel Berkelund (202-97) accounted for 10 points and 10 rebounds. Five SBBK players scored in double figures. American forward Cole Welle (201-96, college: California) came up with 17 points and 9 rebounds and forward Oliver Gehrke (200-0, college: UC Davis) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Umea in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. SBBK maintains first place with 17-5 record. Umea lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 17 games lost. SBBK will play against Nassjo (#6) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Umea will play against Boras Basket and hopes to get back on the winning track.
