Important game to mention about took place in Fludir. Fifth ranked Vestri (4-4) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 7th ranked Hrunamenn (2-6) 76-74 on Monday evening. Hrunamenn was ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 36-31 second half run of Vestri. Croatian Marko Dmitrovic (207-89) nailed 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and Montenegrin power forward Nemanja Knezevic (203-87) accounted for 10 points and 14 rebounds. Four Vestri players scored in double figures. American point guard Corey Taite (180-96, college: GBC, agency: Green Sports Management) came up with 28 points, 5 assists and 4 steals and Croatian Karlo Lebo (196-94) added 15 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Hrunamenn in the defeat. Vestri maintains fifth place with 4-4 record. Hrunamenn lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eighth position with six games lost. Vestri will play against higher ranked Alftanes (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hrunamenn will play against Selfoss (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
