Ninth-ranked Raanana (2-9) gave a tough game to fourth ranked Maccabi Ramat Gan (7-4) in Ramat Hen. Maccabi Ramat Gan managed to secure only three-point victory 79-76. However their fans expected much easier game. Worth to mention a great performance of international guard Eden Rotberg (168-98) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. American center Khaalia Hillsman (197-96, college: Texas A&M) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Four Maccabi Ramat Gan players scored in double figures. American forward Joyner Holmes (190-98, college: Texas) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists and the other American import swingman Kaela Davis (188-95, college: S.Carolina) added 29 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Raanana. Defending champion moved-up to third place, which they share with Holon. Raanana lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the bottom position with nine games lost. Maccabi Ramat Gan's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Ashdod in Ashdod and it will be for sure the game of the week. Raanana will play at home against Bnot Hertzeliya (#7) and hope to win that game.
