Regular Season Round 8: Prometey - SBS Ostrava 81-57

No shocking result in a game when top-ranked Ukrainian Prometey (4-0) crushed 8th ranked Czech SBS Ostrava (1-3) in Kamianske 81-57 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Prometey. SBS Ostrava managed to win fourth quarter 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding SBS Ostrava to just 6 points in second quarter. Prometey forced 26 SBS Ostrava turnovers and outrebounded them 45-28 including 30 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The winners were led by American Bernice Mosby (186-84, college: Baylor, agency: Shark Sports Management) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and Polish-Ukrainian forward Oksana Mollova (188-88, agency: BIG) supported her with 11 points and 6 rebounds. Even 15 points by Slovakian Stella Tarkovicova (180-99) did not help to save the game for SBS Ostrava. Slovakian point guard Tereza Motycakova (170-92) added 12 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Prometey have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Loser SBS Ostrava keeps the eighth position with three games lost.
