The game in Lowicz supposed to be also quite interesting. Second ranked WKK Wroclaw (19-5) played at the court of 7th ranked Lowicz (13-11). WKK Wroclaw did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 92-72 on Saturday. WKK Wroclaw forced 20 Lowicz turnovers and outrebounded them 37-20 including a 30-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by the former international center Piotr Niedzwiedzki (210-93) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 18 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and forward Szymon Kiwilsza (201-97, agency: BIG) supported him with 11 points and 9 rebounds. Even 18 points and 6 rebounds by power forward Lukasz Bodych (201-90) did not help to save the game for Lowicz. Mikolaj Stopierzynski (190-94) added 14 points and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. WKK Wroclaw maintains second position with 19-5 record having just two points less than leader Czarni. Loser Lowicz dropped to the sixth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Pruszkow. WKK Wroclaw will meet at home Lancut (#5) in the next round. Lowicz will play against the league's leader Czarni in Slupsk and hope to secure a win.
