Regular Season Round 21: MKS DG 2 - AZS PS Gliwice 91-72

Very expected game in Dabrowa Gornicza where bottom-ranked AZS PS Gliwice (0-19) was rolled over by sixth ranked MKS DG 2 (10-9) 91-72 on Saturday. MKS DG 2 outrebounded AZS PS Gliwice 49-36 including 37 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was power forward Przemyslaw Paduch (201-3) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. Karol Jagoda (195-1) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). At the other side the best for losing team was guard Jakub Sciegienny (185-99) who recorded 22 points and 5 rebounds and guard Maciej Wasowicz (182-92) added 12 points and 6 steals respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. MKS DG 2 moved-up to fifth place in Group C, which they share with Bielsko-Biala. AZS PS Gliwice lost their nineteenth game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with 19 games lost. MKS DG 2 will face AZS PWSTE (#8) in Jaroslaw in the next round. AZS PS Gliwice will play at home against Cracovia (#11) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
