Ninth-ranked CBSFDO (2-9) used its home court advantage to challenge first ranked Corazon (13-1) in San Fernando on Saturday. The visitors from Caceres managed to secure only two-point victory 70-68. However their fans expected much easier game. Corazon forced 24 CBSFDO turnovers and outrebounded them 47-30 including a 18-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Argentinian center Vicente Garello (203) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. Dominican Jaison Colome (190-96) contributed with 19 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Center Arsenio Cordero (-95) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and center Iago Paz (201-91) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for CBSFDO. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Corazon. Newly promoted Corazon maintains first place with 13-1 record. CBSFDO lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
