Regular Season Round 24: Pruszkow - Czarni 56-87

1Liga top team - Czarni (21-3) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Pruszkow (13-11) 87-56. Czarni dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Pruszkow's 22. They outrebounded Pruszkow 34-18 including 20 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for guard Piotr Smigielski (190-89) who led his team to a victory with 23 points (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Mikolaj Kurpisz (205-98) contributed with 9 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Czarni's coach Mantas Cesnauskis felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Power forward Mateusz Szwed (200-91) replied with 9 points and 5 rebounds and point guard January Sobczak (176-97) added 13 points in the effort for Pruszkow. Czarni have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 21-3 record. Pruszkow at the other side keeps the sixth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Lowicz. Czarni are looking forward to face Lowicz (#7) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Pruszkow will play against AZS PO and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
