There was no surprise in Gorzow Wielkopolski where 6th ranked Poznan (8-10) was crushed by fourth ranked Gorzow Wlkp. (12-5) 99-67 on Saturday. Gorzow Wlkp. dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Poznan's 28 and made 29-of-33 free shots (87.9 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Poznan 44-31 including a 34-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Poznan was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Bulgarian forward Borislava Hristova (183-96, college: WSU) who scored 27 points and 8 rebounds. Gorzow Wlkp. maintains fourth position with 12-5 record. Loser Poznan keeps the sixth place with ten games lost. Gorzow Wlkp. will face Wroclaw (#9) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Poznan will play against Lublin and hope to win that game.
