An interesting game was also surprising road defeat of 4th ranked Chartres in a game versus Mondeville (#7) 80-70. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Chartres. Mondeville looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by the former international center Jodie Cornelie-Sigmundova (193-93, college: Dayton) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds and Vaciana Gomis (172-2) supported her with 16 points and 4 assists. Even 20 points and 6 rebounds by power forward Kekelly Elenga (184-91) did not help to save the game for Chartres. Spanish point guard Binta Drame-Lo (171-2) added 14 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Chartres' coach Benoit Marty rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Mondeville (7-6) moved-up to sixth place. Loser Chartres dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. Mondeville will meet higher ranked Reims (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Chartres will play against the league's second-placed Toulouse and hope to secure a win.
