Very expected game when 14th ranked Andratx (1-19) was defeated at home by eighth ranked Casablanca (9-11) 67-56 on Sunday. Casablanca forced 27 Andratx turnovers. Strangely Andratx outrebounded Casablanca 45-27 including a 31-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Beatriz Royo (176-91) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and forward Beatriz Bollullo (181-93) who added 12 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Finnish guard Sara Rokkanen (178-96, college: Toledo) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and Nigerian forward Nkem Akaraiwe (185-96) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Andratx's coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Casablanca maintains eighth position with 9-11 record. Andratx lost eleventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fourteenth place with 19 games lost. Casablanca will face higher ranked Maresme (#4) in Barcelona in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Andratx will play against Sant Josep (#9) and hope to win that game.
