Everything went according to plan in Azkoitia where third ranked Rioja (15-5) outscored 13th ranked Rosalia (4-16) 80-57 on Sunday. Rioja forced 19 Rosalia turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Morgan Green (170-96, college: UC Irvine, agency: Gamble Sports Management) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals and forward Sara Iparragirre (171-98) who added 19 points and 4 steals during the contest. Four Rioja players scored in double figures. Sara Corredoira (-0) responded with 9 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals and Blanca Manivesa (165-97) scored 15 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Rioja maintains third position with 15-5 record having seven points less than leader Leganes, which they share with Sant Adria. Rosalia lost third consecutive game.
