We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 3rd placed Joventut 2 (4-4) lost to fourth ranked Maristes A. (4-3) in Badalona 70-74 on Sunday. Maristes A. made 27-of-31 free shots (87.1 percent) during the game. Joventut 2 was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. Oriol Franch (191-95) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Marc Hermoso (193-99) contributed with 11 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Forward Miguel Allen (203-3) answered with 17 points and 8 rebounds and Guillem Vazquez (194-3) added 12 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Joventut 2. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Maristes A. moved-up to third place, which they share with 4 other teams. Newly promoted Joventut 2 dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. Maristes A. will face league's leader Sant Antoni in San Antonio in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Joventut 2 will play at home against the league's second-placed Sol Girones and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
