Regular Season Round 12: Giulianova - Roseto 66-59

There was an upset when second-best Roseto (7-5) lost on the road to sixth ranked Giulianova (6-6) 66-59 on Sunday. It was a good game for power forward Gianluca Di Carmine (200-86) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 15 rebounds. Alberto Cacace (198-96) contributed with 21 points for the winners. The former international power forward Valerio Amoroso (204-80) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and guard Antonio Ruggiero (190-81) added 15 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Roseto. Four Roseto players scored in double figures. Giulianova moved-up to fourth place in B. Loser Roseto keeps the second position with five games lost. Giulianova will face league's leader Fabriano at home in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Roseto will play against Montegranaro and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the Serie A2 just one year after relegation.
