There was a minor upset when 7th ranked Raholan P. (10-11) was edged by ninth ranked PeU-Basket (10-9) in Tampere 78-75 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 8 points after three quarters before their 25-14 charge, which allowed them to win the game. PeU-Basket made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. It was a good game for American forward Saiquan Jamison (203-98, college: Bowie St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 24 rebounds. Guard Leevi-Matias Taimela (193-2) contributed with 24 points for the winners. Swingman Jesse Niemi (194-90) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and guard Hugo Boman (195-2) added 19 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Raholan P.Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. PeU-Basket moved-up to seventh place in 1st Division. Loser Raholan P. dropped to the ninth position with 11 games lost. PeU-Basket will face higher ranked Kipina (#4) in Aanekoski in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Raholan P. will play on the road against the league's second-placed Huima (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
