Rather expected game when 6th ranked EM El Olivar (2-4) lost at home to fourth ranked Salou (4-2) 97-88 on Sunday. EM El Olivar was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward CJ Barksdale (203-92, college: Virginia Tech) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Sergio Jimenez (188-95, agency: Dynamics Global Management) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) for the winners. Five Salou players scored in double figures. Carlos Jimeno (183-98) answered with 16 points and 5 assists and Jose Tomas Nebra (-99) added 20 points in the effort for EM El Olivar. EM El Olivar's coach Victor Lafuente let to play twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Salou moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted EM El Olivar keeps the sixth position with four games lost. Salou will face Sant Cugat (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
