The game in Grodno was also quite interesting. Second ranked Gorizont (18-1) played at the court of 6th ranked Victoria (5-14). Gorizont defeated Victoria 78-68 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 46-33 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Gorizont forced 19 Victoria turnovers and outrebounded them 48-36 including 17 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Victoria's players. It was an exceptional evening for the former international forward Yanina Inkina (188-97, college: UALR) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international forward Yuliya Rytsikava (181-86) accounted for 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Gorizont players scored in double figures. Point guard Ekaterina Novik (170-5) came up with 20 points and point guard Evgenia Bernatskaya (170-5) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Victoria in the defeat. Victoria's coach Viktoryia Datsun tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Gorizont. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Tsmoki-Minsk. Loser Victoria dropped to the seventh place with 14 games lost. Gorizont will meet at home COR Victoria (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Victoria's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Grodno Olimpia.
