Regular Season Round 22: Mantova - Casale 90-63

An interesting game took place in Mirandola where 8th ranked Casale (8-11) was upset on the court of eleventh ranked Mantova (8-10) 90-63. Mantova forced 22 Casale turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Christian James (194-96, college: Oklahoma) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 6 rebounds. The other American import center David Weaver (208-87, college: Wake Forest) contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Mantova players scored in double figures. Naturalized Senegalese center Gora Camara (214-1) replied with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Fabio Valentini (185-99) added 16 points in the effort for Casale. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Mantova moved-up to ninth place. Casale lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with 11 games lost. Mantova's next round opponent will be Bergamo (#13) on the road. Casale will play against Orzinuovi and hope to win that game.
