Regular Season Round 19: M.Hod Hasharon - H.Ramat Gan 73-88

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 10th ranked Hasharon's (5-6) home loss to ninth ranked H.Ramat Gan (7-7) 73-88 on Thursday. Strangely Hasharon outrebounded H.Ramat Gan 43-31 including 30 on the defensive glass. Hasharon was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for point guard Guy Palatin (193-0) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 7 rebounds. American power forward Jeremy Combs (199-95, college: Texas Southern) helped adding 25 points and 5 rebounds. Four H.Ramat Gan players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Xavier Moon (188-95, college: Morehead St., agency: Interperformances) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and Jamaican power forward Samardo Samuels (206-89, college: Louisville) scored 14 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!). Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. H.Ramat Gan moved-up to sixth place, which they share with E.Netanya. Loser Hasharon keeps the tenth position with six games lost. H.Ramat Gan will face again Hasharon (#11) in Ramat Hasharon in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Hasharon will play on the road against Ironi Kiryat Ata and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
