The game between closely ranked teams ended with 8th ranked Estudiantes L.'s (3-6) road loss to seventh ranked PBB (5-4) 62-74 on Saturday. Point guard Andres Cardito (176-93) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Jorge Cabaleiro (192-96) chipped in 12 points during the contest. Four PBB players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Mateo Sanchez (188-99) with 13 points and Senegalese Modou Thiaw (-2) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. PBB moved-up to fifth place in Group A-C, which they share with Leon. Loser Estudiantes L. dropped to the ninth position with six games lost. PBB will face Costa Artraba (#11) in Ferrol in the next round where they are favorite. Estudiantes L. will play at home against Obradoiro S. and hope to win that game.
