Everything went according to plan when first ranked Martorell (6-2) beat at home 4th ranked SESE (3-2) 71-65 on Saturday. Point guard Albert Valle (181-92) scored 17 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Silvestre Esteves-Garcia (195-97) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Gonzalo Vazquez (191-92) with 11 points and 5 rebounds and Albert Montalvo (202-99, agency: BIG) scored 7 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Martorell maintains first position in Group C2 with 6-2 record. Loser SESE keeps the fourth place with two games lost. Martorell will have a break next round. SESE will play at home against Olivar (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
