Regular Season Round 21: Sant Josep - Andratx 55-50

Very expected game when 14th ranked Andratx (1-20) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Sant Josep (8-12) 55-50 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The best player for the winners was Brigida Gual (-97) who scored 16 points and 9 rebounds. Serbian point guard Mirjana Beronja (170-86) chipped in 10 points. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Esther Morillo (169-79) who recorded 18 points and Finnish guard Sara Rokkanen (178-96, college: Toledo) added 7 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Newly promoted Sant Josep maintains ninth place with 8-12 record. Andratx lost their twelfth game in a row. Andratx at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fourteenth position with 20 games lost. Sant Josep will face higher ranked Maresme (#4) in Barcelona in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Andratx will play at home against Mataro (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
