Undefeated leader Perfumerias Avenida recorded the twenty fifth consecutive victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 6th ranked Clarinos (12-14) 76-36 in Salamanca. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Clarinos. Perfumerias Avenida dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Clarinos' 20. They outrebounded Clarinos 53-20 including a 19-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American swingman Tiffany Hayes (177-89, college: UConn) who led her team to a victory scoring 15 points and 6 rebounds. Serbian center Nikolina Milic (191-94) helped adding 11 points and 10 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American forward Asia Taylor (188-91, college: Louisville) with 7 points and 7 rebounds and Belgian forward Heleen Nauwelaers (180-96) scored 7 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the twenty fifth consecutive win for Perfumerias Avenida. Defending champion maintains first place with 25-0 record. Loser Clarinos keeps the sixth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Ensino. Perfumerias Avenida will meet league's second-placed Valencia on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Clarinos will play against ASEFA Estudiantes (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
