Everything went according to plan when second ranked Schio (19-2) outleveled on the road 11th ranked Lucca (4-14) 88-60 on Sunday. Schio shot 64.9 percent from the field. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. The best player for the winners was French center Sandrine Gruda (193-87) who scored 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). International point guard Francesca Dotto (170-93, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 10 points and 9 assists. Five Schio players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Maria Miccoli (183-95) who recorded 14 points and 5 rebounds and American guard Linnae Harper (175-95, college: Ohio St.) added 9 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively. Schio have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains second place with 19-2 record behind leader Venezia. Lucca at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 14 games lost. Schio are looking forward to face San Martino (#7) in San Martino di L in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Lucca will play on the road against Broni (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
