Regular Season Round 18: Castelldefels - Igualada 84-81

A very close game took place in Castelldefels between Castelldefels and Igualada. Second ranked Castelldefels (7-2) got a very close home victory over 3rd ranked Igualada (4-3). Castelldefels managed to escape with a 3-point win 84-81 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Igualada. The best player for the winners was point guard Andreu Sese (189-97) who scored 20 points. Guard Joan Ferran Bernacer (195-99) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Eduard Burges (189-90) who recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds and point guard Miquel Benito (180-96) added 13 points and 4 steals respectively. Five Igualada players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Castelldefels have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They used an opportunity after Valls Nutrion lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position in Group C1. Loser Igualada keeps the third place with three games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
