The most surprising game was the first loss of undefeated Taranto (12-1) in Reggio Calabria on Sunday night. Visitors were edged by sixth ranked R.Calabria (4-9) 57-55. It ended at the same time the 12-game winning streak of Taranto. Naturalized Senegalese power forward Yande Fall (199-90, agency: SLN) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and forward Salvatore Genovese (200-87, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. Taranto at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still keeps top position with one game lost. They share it with Rieti. R.Calabria is looking forward to face higher ranked Ruvo di Puglia (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
