Rather expected game when 6th ranked ViVe (8-14) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Forssan Alku (16-7) 78-69. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Forssan Alku forced 19 ViVe turnovers. It was a very good performance for American forward Mia Loyd (181-94, college: N.Dakota) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Ninni Salmi (182-96, college: NIU) contributed with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Forssan Alku's coach Aleksi Suominen allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Kayla Gordon (183-95, college: Jacksonville) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 18 rebounds and her fellow American import guard Doniyah Cliney (182-96, college: S.Carolina) added 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for ViVe. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Forssan Alku maintains fourth position with 16-7 record. ViVe at the other side keeps the sixth place with 14 games lost. Forssan Alku will play against bottom-ranked Pyrinto (#10) in Tampere in the next round where they are favorite. ViVe will play on the road against Catz Lappeenranta (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
