And finally the game worth to mention about is the one where eighth ranked Casablanca (10-11) won against 4th placed Maresme (14-8) in a home game by 17 points 76-59 on Sunday evening. Casablanca forced 25 Maresme turnovers. Maresme was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was forward Beatriz Royo (176-91) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Ana Tainta (173-0, college: Portland St.) chipped in 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Mireia Vila (183-91, college: St.Joseph's) who recorded 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and center Marta Arbizu (187-91) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Casablanca moved-up to seventh place, which they share with GDKO Bizkaia. Loser Maresme keeps the fourth position with eight games lost. Casablanca will face Segle XXI (#7) in Barcelona in the next round. Maresme will play against Sant Josep and hope to win that game.
