Regular Season Round 26: Boras - Umea 99-83

Very expected game when 8th ranked Umea (5-22) lost on the road to third ranked Boras Basket (17-10) 99-83. The game was mostly controlled by Boras Basket. Umea was better in fourth quarter 23-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Umea 40-25 including 28 on the defensive glass. Boras Basket players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. The best player for the winners was American center DeAndre Davis (203-94, college: Alcorn St.) who scored 27 points and 8 rebounds (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field). Canadian point guard Marek Klassen (186-92, college: PLNU) chipped in 15 points and 8 assists. Four Boras Basket players scored in double figures. Guard Jonathan Peleg (191-94) produced 21 points and 4 assists and Spanish guard Guim Exposito (197-94, agency: Promo Sport ID) added 13 points and 5 assists respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains third position with 17-10 record having six points less than leader Norrkoping. Umea lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 22 games lost. Boras Basket's next round opponent will be league's leader Norrkoping Dolphins on the road and it will be for sure the game of the week.
