Regular Season Round 27: Spojnia - Stal Ostrow 84-83

The most exciting game of round 27 in the EBL took place in Stargard. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 4th placed BM Slam Stal (17-10) to eighth ranked Spojnia (14-14) 84-83 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of BM Slam Stal. Spojnia looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for American point guard Jay Threatt (180-89, college: Delaware St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 assists. The former international Mateusz Kostrzewski (200-89, agency: Octagon Europe) helped adding 16 points. The best for the losing side was American-Syrian point guard Trey Kell (193-96, college: SDSU, agency: Slash Sports) with 28 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and American point guard James Florence (185-88, college: Mercer) scored 16 points. Five Spojnia and four BM Slam Stal players scored in double figures. Spojnia maintains eighth place with 14-14 record. BM Slam Stal at the other side keeps the fourth position with ten games lost. Spojnia are looking forward to face Asseco Arka (#14) in Gdynia in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. BM Slam Stal will play on the road against Enea Astoria (#9) in Bydgoszcz and is hoping to win this game.
