There was no surprise when 12th ranked Moron (6-13) was crushed on the road by seventh ranked Marbella (10-7) 84-43 on Saturday. Marbella dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Moron's 26. Marbella forced 24 Moron turnovers and outrebounded them 37-25 including 24 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Danish swingman David Knudsen (196-94, college: Marist) who scored 19 points. Point guard Lucas Munoz (184-1, agency: BIG) chipped in 11 points and 8 assists. Four Marbella players scored in double figures. Cameroonian center Bertrand Awana (206-97, college: Lenoir-Rhyne) produced 9 points and forward Alejandro Rodriguez (200-98) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Marbella moved-up to sixth place in Silver. Loser Moron dropped to the thirteenth position with 13 games lost. Marbella will face league's leader Juaristi ISB in Azpeitia in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Moron will play at home against Zentro Basket (#8) and hope to win that game.
