Very predictable result when fifth ranked San Fernando (7-4) beat at home 10th ranked Portuense (1-10) 84-69 on Saturday. Portuense was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Jose Ruiz (200-97) fired 26 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Forward Manuel Ezomo (191-95) chipped in 9 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Alejandro Valderrama (194-93) produced 18 points and 6 rebounds and Alvaro Molina (-92) added 16 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. San Fernando moved-up to second place, which they share with Alcala and La Matanza. Newly promoted Portuense dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. San Fernando will face Real Betis 2 (#7) in Sevilla in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Portuense will play on the road against the league's leader Huelva CD and hope to win that game.
