Rather expected game when 6th ranked Avellino (5-9) was rolled over on the road by third ranked Cassino (7-7) 93-72 on Saturday. Cassino outrebounded Avellino 42-31 including a 36-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Avellino's players.
