Regular Season Round 19: Picken Claret - Carolinas 60-58

Eighth-ranked Carolinas (1-8) made lots of trouble for second ranked Picken Claret (6-3) in Valencia. Picken Claret managed to secure only two-point victory 60-58. However their fans expected much easier game. Carolinas was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of center Juan Bermejo (197-98) who helped to win the game recording 10 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Daniel Perez (187-1) contributed with 9 points for the winners. Francisco Barros answered with 14 points and 7 rebounds and Pablo Paterna (195-89) added 10 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Carolinas. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Picken Claret maintains second place with 6-3 record having six points less than leader Llucmajor, which they share with 5 other teams. Carolinas lost their sixth game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the tenth position with eight games lost. Picken Claret will play against league's leader Tabernes in Tabernes Blanques in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Carolinas will play at home against Aldaia (#5) to get more than just one victory in their record.
