The game in Vitebsk was also worth to mention about. Borisfen played at the court of Rubon. Borisfen defeated Rubon 87-77. Rubon was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. They outrebounded Rubon 43-31 including 18 on the offensive glass. Borisfen players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. American power forward Brooks DeBisschop (206-98, college: NAU) notched 22 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and Ilya Sharipov (198-91) supported him with 21 points and 5 rebounds. Even 21 points and 8 rebounds by the former international forward Victor Ovsepyan (202-91) did not help to save the game for Rubon. Forward Ruslan Pishcheyko (198-98) added 15 points for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Borisfen's next round opponent will be Tsmoki-Minsk at home and it will be for sure the game of the week. Rubon will play against Grodno and hope to win that game.
