No shocking result in a game when third ranked Hapoel Jerusalem (11-4) beat at home 10th ranked M.Rishon (6-9) 97-84. Hapoel Jerusalem players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Stanton Kidd (202-92, college: Colorado St.) who scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Nigerian power forward Suleiman Braimoh (203-89, college: Rice) chipped in 19 points. American forward Jamil Wilson (201-90, college: Marquette, agency: Network Sports International) produced 16 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import power forward Darryl Monroe (202-86, college: GMU) added 17 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five Hapoel Jerusalem and four M.Rishon players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hapoel Jerusalem maintains third place with 11-4 record having five points less than leader Maccabi T-A. M.Rishon lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with nine games lost. Hapoel Jerusalem's next round opponent will be Hapoel Holon (#6) on the road. M.Rishon will play against Bnei Hasharon (#9) in Hod Hasharon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
