Regular Season Round 18: Dinamo - Vera 77-92

The game with biggest result difference took place in Tbilisi. Local Dinamo (4-9) lost to eighth ranked Vera (6-8) 92-77 on Saturday night. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Vera dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Dinamo's 24. It was a great shooting night for Vera especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Dinamo's players. The best player for the winners was international point guard Givi Bakradze (180-91) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 6 rebounds and 14 assists. American forward Josh Hawley (201-96, college: Tarleton St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points and 15 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Mike Edwards (206-97, college: Georgia) who recorded 21 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Tyler Williams (196-96, college: San Diego, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Five Vera and four Dinamo players scored in double figures. Dinamo's coach Muhammed Muya Tachi let to play ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Vera moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Cactus. Dinamo lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with nine games lost. Vera will face higher ranked Batumi (#4) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Dinamo's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tbilisi to the arena Titebi.
